In honor of Scotland

For about a week now, my brother has been living it up in the UK preparing to play in a couple of golf tournaments.  Since we were not given the "okay" by the man in charge to accompany my brother, I thought I'd give myself and others a feel of Scotland to possibly ease the pain of not actually being there.  It probably will not work, but here we go.

pretty photos via National Geo.

So for the fashion part, sorry, had to throw this in- These are from the Pringle of Scotland fashion show- I hope the brother keeps his style and doesn't take some of these ideas back with him.  But we'd still love you. I love the woman's clothing though. beautiful.

Now picture the golfer boy in these... kinda makes you smile huh?

And as they say over there in Scotland " Guid Luck, Bub "
(That says good luck for those of you with bad deductive skills)

Little Picassos

Tonight my lovely sister and I had a great time painting away at Easely Amused.  Last year, around this time, we went to the "Wondrous Cross" class and enjoyed that very much.  Tonight, I think we killed it.  (Killed It is a way of saying nailed it/ showed up the rest of the class) No, we're not that good but... Nice work, sis!

Something to brighten your day...

I ran across this article today and thought there possibly could be a happy ending to this story. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

Women Struck By Lightning Moments Before Proposal

The cruel hand of fate has really had it out for matrimony this week. The other day we posted a story about a couple who married in the E.R. after a tragic crash, and this is another even more tragic story. Bethany Lott and her boyfriend Richard Butler were both excited for their hike to the top of Max Patch Bald Mountain in North Carolina. This was a trip that Lott had wanted to make since she and Butler began dating and was happy to finally have it happening. Butler planned to make his girlfriend’s day even more memorable because he was going to propose. With the ring in tow, Butler followed behind Lott for the 4,600-foot climb to the summit. But before he had a chance to ask for Lott’s hand, the couple was struck by a bolt of lightning. The shock knocked Butler to the ground. Once he was alert, he crawled over to Lott—she wasn’t breathing. He tried to revive his girlfriend for 15 minutes, but couldn’t get her to start breathing again. Unable to get a signal with their cell phones, Butler returned to his car and stopped at the first house he saw for help. EMTs arrived and tried to revive Lott but could not, saying that it was likely the lightning instantly killed her. “I put the ring on her finger while the EMTs were working on her,” he said. “They are listing me as her fiancĂ© in the obituaries.”

Some thoughts on this rainy Tuesday afternoon...

After sacrificing my Monday evening for a baseball game (which yes was fun and boring at the same time) i missed the 2nd episode of the Bachelorette. After I caught up on what happened and who went home- i am please to say that:
   1. "Mr. Dangerous"- finally left with full pride and arrogance still in tact.  Seriously? His exit was so cocky it made me want to slap him. (Check it out sometime)

   2. Poor "Weatherman".  I don't know his name because every guy just calls him weatherman (which I find rather funny.  Bless his heart, but he needs to leave soon.
   3. I pretty much know who Ali will pick.  There aren't so many stellar options in this bunch, but from what i can tell, behind all of the "man drama" she will either pick... Roberto or Frank.

That's all of my expert opinion on The Bachelorette.  The man drama gets to be a little over the top.

My next issue that I have had over the past month is Miley. ohhh miley.  I have never been a huge fan of the teeth and husky, smoker voice, but now, I am really not a fan.  She is 16 maybe (I do not care enough to do the research) but her most recent song "Can't Be Tamed" came out maybe a week ago.  The music video had made its debut about a month ago.  It's racy.  Seriously Miley? A bird? hmmm.. She seems to portray an experienced little teenager who probably just got her driver's license.
Not pleased with you Miley.
Take a look at the video here

June is here!!

If i had an "inspiration board" for the upcoming months.. some of these pieces would be there for sure-

Cameron Diaz on July issue of Vogue- I love the lace and sequins. Sequins can be a bit much at times but just small pieces thrown in are becoming a favorite of mine!
